There are two secondary schools in killorglin.
The first of these is the killorglin community college.

Community College Killorglin

For 72 years Killorglin Community College has served the educational needs of Killorglin and Mid Kerry. It provids the local community with a comprehensive education in both the Junior and Leaving Certificate. This college also provides Post Leaving Certificate and Adult Education Programmes. It is located on the outskirts of killorglin town centre. It is located on a 15-acre campus, equipped with playing pitches and a modern sports complex. The college is equipped with state of the art Multi Media and Computer laboratories. In addition to a broad, modern and varied curriculum, many extra curricular activities are provided, including athletics, cross-country running, music and drama, fundraising activities for charities and worthwhile causes. We also engage in National and International Educational Tours and Travel.

The Intermediate School, Iveragh Road

The other secondary school in the area is the ISK.
This secondary school also offers an extensive and impressive range of subjects and activities. There is great enthusiasm shown to sporting and community based activities.
The school has a population in excess of 650 pupils and fifty teachers. Academic standards are at an all time high in the State exams. The School Campus is one of the finest in Munster, with an all-weather pitch on which even the Kerry Team did it's Winter Training. The Space Room is another great feature of the school where one can be alone and take time out. Plans for the future include the modernising of the Hockey Pitch, to extend the Staff Room, to build Counselling Rooms, a Music Room, a Language Laboratory and a number of basic classrooms.
